Separation and divorce are among the most painful experiences a family can go through — not just for the couple, but for children who had no say in any of it.

I spent 25 years as a Court Psychologist in the Family Court of Middlesex County, Massachusetts — one of the busiest family courts in New England.  In that role I conducted custody and visitation evaluations in high-conflict divorce cases, provided forensic consultation to the court, and worked directly with parents and children navigating some of the most difficult family circumstances imaginable.

I have seen what high-conflict divorce does to parents and children up close, over and over. That experience drives everything about how I approach this work.

When separation is unavoidable or has already occurred, the quality of how you navigate it matters enormously — for your own wellbeing, and especially for your children. The decisions made in this period are consequential and often irreversible.
